Bellaire, “The City of Homes”, has an established, distinctive business community. While known best as a residential enclave in the midst of Houston, Bellaire is also home to over 1,000 business entities, including medical and professional practices, retailers, restaurants and financial institutions.

The commercial and financial success of that business community is important to the quality of life and stability of property values in Bellaire and near-by neighborhoods. For that reason, at the beginning of 2015, the Bellaire Business Association was formalized with the stated mission of promoting local businesses, providing professional networking opportunities and fostering local economic development.

The Bellaire Business Association is incorporated in the state of Texas and as an IRS 501(c)(6) chamber of commerce. Contributions and sponsorships to the Bellaire Business Association are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. Consult your tax advisor for possible business deduction eligibility.

Promoting local businesses and fostering local economic development or redevelopment is a key element of the mission of the Bellaire Business Association (BBA).  The goal is to achieve long-term growth for business and commercial development or redevelopment that improves the quality of life for local residents.

The BBA Public Policy is:

“In keeping with the Bellaire Business Association Mission Statement, the BBA should: 1) Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and address the issues affecting the business community and drive solutions; 2) Act as a liaison between local government and our members; 3) Educate the BBA membership about local issues that affect business; and, 4) Encourage business development and growth in the Bellaire area.”
